I love this movie ! The characters were relatable, yet very interesting. I loved following Miguel’s journey on the Day of the Dead and thought both his and his great great grandfather’s character parts were well paced. The story moves quickly, but it’s easy to follow along. The animation is gorgeous and the setting of the Land of the Dead is cunningly designed. The soundtrack features great Mexican inspired songs that are a nod to Miguel’s heritage. This heart warming film reminded me of my own family and the scene with Coco and Miguel singing “Remember Me” is one of the only scenes that have ever made me cry. I love this movie.
The movie was great. The beginning engaged all of us from the start we were all spellbound. The story is of a boy who forgot how to have fun and lost his joy. And we all chuckled at Pooh and Eeyore’s one liners. Brad Garrett as Eeyore was perfection and Ewan McGregor was lovely as the adult Christopher Robin. Overall this was a fantastic family movie without violence or swearing. In the end the message is about prioritizing family and friends over money and work. A fantastic film. 4 ****
