  • Pendragon (Y1 and Y2) 2026-2027

Welcome to our class page. This year Mrs King, Ms Martin and Mrs Spyrou are the staff in Pendragon.

We have had a fantastic start to the new academic year and the children have settled in well. In science, the children have been learning about Charles Mackintosh and waterproof materials. This week's investigation involved testing out waterproof and non-waterproof materials.

    European Language Day. Spain.

Pendragon had a full day of celebrating all things Spanish. The children learnt Flamenco dancing and tried different Spanish food. The charros were a firm favourite!

    Art.

Pendragon are working towards sculpting their clay monster. Today, the children practised different clay techniques in readiness to create their sculptures later this term.

    Mono-printing.

Pendragon has been learning about different lines and shapes when drawing vegetables and transferred these skills over to mono-printing this week. The children enjoyed thinking about how different pressures and tools can impact the line and shapes of their prints.

    Hello Yellow Day

Pendragon dressed in yellow to take part in Hello Yellow day. The class talked about their feelings and completed flowers to show different emotions.

    Harvest festival

Pendragon class have been busy drawing seasonal vegetables, practising different lines and shapes. The children then transferred these skills into mono-printing. The children proudly displayed their artwork to the audience during the harvest festival service at the church.
