    European Day of Languages

This year, Merlin Class represented France and enjoyed coming into school dressed in the colours of the French flag. We learnt some simple French greetings and each painted a flag.

    Year 1 comparing amounts

Children in Year 1 have been learning how to compare objects, numbers and amounts. We have been using language such as greater than, fewer than, less than and equal to, to help us make our comparisons. The children used cubes to build a tower and then compared their towers, making sure to use the correct vocabulary when making their statements.

    Early writing

Children in Reception have begun their phonics journey and are doing a wonderful job at remembering their new sounds. Alongside this, we have been working hard on our letter formation, which the children are having lots of fun practising in different ways!
